Backstory: The David E. Glover Center is a non-profit organization that strives to bring free technology education to youth, adults and seniors in East Oakland, CA. We needed to re- modernize our brand. I worked directly with the director and the executive board of The Glover Center.
First thing on the list was re-designing the logo. The director was very inspired by the idea of the new logo having the initials of The Glover Center’s founder (D.E.G. for David E. Glover) being built into it. I used a gradient of purples and greens to symbolize the service The Glover Center has provided the community and where it will be going in the future. I went with a horizontal composition so that this logo can take up less vertical space vertically on marketing collateral.
